The National Hispanic Cultural Center will hold its annual Despedida to celebrate Dio de los Muertos with music, poetry and hands-on art making at this time-honored community gathering. This is a great event for all ages. Tour the ofrendas around the NHCC campus; enjoy music, traditional chocolate mexicano, pan de muerto, and sharing of special and heartfelt memories.
When: 5-7 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2015.
Where: The National Hispanic Cultural Center, 1701 4th Street NW in Albuquerque.
Special note for Gordon Bernell students and staff: If you are unable to attend the Despedida on October 3oth, you have until November 6th to see all of the ofrendas in the Education Building.
