Ms. Anderson worked as an educational assistant with Albuquerque Public Schools for 14 years. These years were spent in the non-traditional settings of a crisis shelter for abused and neglected children and a treatment center for youth with mental health issues. At the treatment center, she ran a computer lab where students worked on computer-aided instruction. She then worked at several different Albuquerque charter schools before coming to Gordon Bernell. Ms. Anderson has also taught independent living skills to youth in the foster care system and has extensive experience working with at risk youth in treatment centers, crisis shelters, group homes and various residential settings. The work at Gordon Bernell is very satisfying because Ms. Anderson has always enjoyed work where she feels she is actually making a difference in the lives of others.
