Lisa Cozzone

In 1995, Lisa started teaching college composition as a teaching assistant at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Since then, she has also taught career readiness, developmental English, honors English, ESL, and GED courses with a focus on math and language arts. Her past teaching experience includes Catholic Charities of Albuquerque/Santa Fe, Central New Mexico Correctional Facility, and classes for at-risk high school and middle school students. By far, teaching is the best job she’s ever had, and incarcerated students are her favorite population to work with. She believes strongly in the mission at GBCS, where she proudly teaches social studies.

In her spare time, Lisa enjoys working out, reading and spending time with her husband, Chris, who is also a teacher at Gordon Bernell.
