Rita Granberry

Rita Granberry graduated from Arkansas State University with a bachelor’s of Science in Zoology in 1985, and then went back for Bachelor of Science in Education in 1986. She then taught Science in a small rural community in SE Missouri. After a few years she moved to San Antonio, TX and taught Science for 18 years. She earned her Master’s in Education from Texas State University in 2000. Having spent time in New Mexico taking students backpacking in the Gila, she decided to move to NM.  She spent 2 years in Kirtland, NM teaching then the last 5 years in Rio Rancho at Independence High School.  She has taught Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physical Science and Physics.  She enjoys helping students understand the process of Science and how it relates to each individual.  She earned her Master’s in Education from Texas State University in 2000.

In her free time she volunteers at the animal shelter and loves to hike in the mountains of New Mexico, and loves to read and travel.  She enjoys spending time with her dogs and being out in nature.  She has been working  at GBCS for 6 years between the MDC and N4th Campus. She is currently at the North 4th campus teaching math and science.
